2009: Movado Master
With its dynamic, muscular design boldly rooted in the strong industrial and architectural expressions of the Bauhaus movement, Movado Master was introduced as a new pinnacle collection for men and women. Machined in solid stainless steel, the angular tonneau-shaped case with screw-down crown featured a gear-edge black sapphire or double-row diamond-set bezel, and raised door-style hinges. Functioning as attachments for Movado Master’s rubber deployment strap, the flexing hinges provided striking architectural definition as well as wrist-conforming comfort.
- "...Meticulously engineered and masterfully refined, Movado Master’s striking asymmetric dial explored the circle-within-a-circle motif..."
Movado Master’s striking asymmetric dial explored the circle-within-a-circle motif of the iconic Museum dial, adding new dimension and texture. The collection included a 44 mm men’s fine automatic with exhibition case back, and 34 mm quartz-precise women’s styles with several diamond-set case and dial options.
Bridging the gap between art and industry, the heroic Movado Master propelled the powerful purity of the iconic Museum dial in a daring new direction.
