Winner of ‘Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture’ for Ray at the NAACP Image Awards in 2005, Kerry Washington is a versatile actress who has built an impressive list of credits in a relatively short time. She garnered critical acclaim for her role in The Last King of Scotland opposite Forest Whitaker for which she was nominated for ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture’ at the NAACP Image Awards in 2007. In 2009, Kerry made her Broadway debut in David Mamet’s Race. In 2010, she starred in the Tyler Perry film For Colored Girls with an all-star cast of actresses. Kerry is set to play the lead role in Scandal, the new ABC series by Shonda Rimes, creator of Grey’s Anatomy. An advocate of the arts and supporter of social causes, Kerry was appointed by President Barak Obama to the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities in 2009. Wynton has won nine Grammy Awards and is the only artist to have won a Grammy in five consecutive years. He is the world’s first jazz artist to perform and compose across the full jazz spectrum, from its New Orleans roots to bebop to modern jazz. In 1997 Wynton Marsalis became the first jazz musician ever to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his epic oratorio Blood On The Fields. Wynton’s creativity has been celebrated throughout the world, and more than 25 of America’s leading academic institutions have conferred honorary degrees upon him. In 1987 Wynton Marsalis co-founded a jazz program at Lincoln Center and in July 1996, due to its remarkable success, Jazz at Lincoln Center was installed as new constituent of Lincoln Center, the renowned arts organization of which Movado is a long standing sponsor and proud supporter.
