First introduced in the 1950s, the original Calendoplan emerged during the rise of tool watches—celebrated for their practical function, sporty elegance, and everyday durability.

Its name speaks to its purpose: ‘Calendoplan’ combines ‘calendo’, referencing the watch’s calendar complication, with ‘plan’, a nod to the clean, considered layout of its dial.

Today, the Calendoplan Collection continues this legacy with designs that blend mid- century heritage and modern versatility.

Chronograph

First worn by pilots and astronauts, Movado’s chronograph story began in the tool watch era of the late 1930s, taking on new, inspired forms from the midcentury to the present.&nbsp;

These watches combine refined modern design with stopwatch functionality—activated by tactile pushers and measured down to the second. Ideal for tracking short durations or creating a sport-forward look, the chronograph movement balances Swiss precision with presence.
