The event provided the students with an opportunity to learn more about the performing arts through the legendary Alvin Ailey Dance Company.

FALL GALA 2011

Movado sponsored the New York City Ballet's 2011 Fall Gala, Thursday, September 22, 2011, featuring the World Premiere of Ocean's Kingdom, a collaboration between Paul McCartney and NYCB Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins. The production marked the first time that Paul McCartney has written an original orchestral score for dance. It also featured costumes designed by his daughter, the acclaimed fashion designer Stella McCartney.

FASHION’S NIGHT OUT 2011

Movado celebrates Fashion’s Night Out! Designer Chris Benz made a personal appearance at our Rockefeller Center boutique as we previewed the fabulous new watches he designed for the Movado BOLD collection – and in an expression of Movado’s enduring commitment to the arts, talented School of Visual Arts students created paintings ‘live’ in store!

Movado hosted a Celebrity Stylist Event in Los Angeles on May 11 – 12, 2011. The watch preview was attended by top stylists to Hollywood stars including Steve Carell, Johnny Depp, Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, Katie Holmes, Eva Mendes and Matthew Morrison!

‘Night of Discovery’ and
2010 Future Legends Event

Movado hosted a multi-faceted cultural arts event in collaboration with Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation at the Visual Arts Gallery at the SVA on December 6, 2010, and also honored five outstanding young artists with the Movado Future Legend Award following the ‘Night of Discovery’ celebration.

Fashion’s Night Out 2010

In celebration of the stylish and fun-filled NYC event Fashion’s Night Out 2010, Movado hosted ‘Artists’ Night’, a tribute to artistic achievements past, present and future at the Movado store in Rockefeller Center.

Broadway Production – RACE

Movado sponsored the Broadway play RACE, written and directed by David Mamet and co-starring actress and Movado Ambassador Kerry Washington.
